This Privacy Policy describes how The Technical Take, LLC collects information from all end users of TheTechnicalTake.com -- those who access some of our services but do not have accounts ("Visitors"), as well as those who pay a monthly service fee to subscribe to the services ("Members").

Registration

In order to access the membership areas of this web site, members are asked to provide certain personal information when they wish to obtain a subscription to TheTechnicalTake.com. Communications from TheTechnicalTake.com

Emails

All new subscribers receive a welcome e-mail to verify password and username. All subscribers receive regular emails (5-7/ week) when a comment is posted to TheTechnicalTake.com. Subscribers may opt in to receive other emails that are a part of the service. If a subscription is cancelled, email addresses are removed from our mailing lists and are not used for external marketing purposes. At any time, subscribers may request to be removed from any and all mailing lists, while still maintaining access to the web site.

Account Administration Messages

Paying members will receive a reminder email when their account is about to expire. Members who choose our monthly auto-renew feature will also receive an email message if their credit card is about to expire. We also send a final message to expired members just before their account is permanently erased. Users cannot opt-out of this type of messages, though they can deactivate their account.

Service Announcements

On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is interrupted for a prolonged period we might send all users an email message. Users cannot opt-out of this type of messages, though they can deactivate their account.

In response to a user's direct inquiry, we will send email providing assistance with their account or their use of the web site.

Though The Technical Take, LLC makes every effort to preserve customer privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website.
